Our Work

CBAC, Inc. is where advocacy meets implementation. We provide the infrastructure and community programming that helps Freedmen  create sustainable futures rooted in lineage, culture, and equity.

We advocate for:

  • Federal group recognition of descendants of American chattel slaves,

  • Restorative funding & restitution,

  • Climate & economic justice,

  • Heritage, family & property protections
