Concerned Black American Citizens, Inc is a  Freedmen descendant-led 501 (c)(3) advancing recognition, restitution, and community power for the descendants of emancipated American chattel slaves.

 The descendants of emancipated American chattel slaves continue to experience the cumulative effects of slavery, Reconstruction-era exclusion, Jim Crow segregation, redlining, urban renewal displacement, and unequal access to wealth-building opportunities. CBAC works to help communities organize, access resources, preserve heritage, and build lasting institutions. ​
