Located in Durham, North Carolina's historic Hayti corridor, the Center for American Freedmen Heritage & Records, launched in 2026 with a mission to census 500 Jim Crow Survivors and their families who are descended from emancipated American chattel slaves, aka "Freedmen'.

15 hours of heritage & language instruction, 15 hours paid stipend for ages 16-24.

CCEJ40 is a climate and economic justice cohort organized by CBAC in 2024 where we provided technical assistance and $1,000.00 grants to grassroots organizations completing the cohort.
