Our team of Certified Genealogists and Freedmen Genealogy Specialists is dedicated to helping individuals and families reconnect with their ancestral roots through careful historical research and documentation. Using records such as the Freedmen's Bureau records, federal census records, military records, vital records, land records, and other historical sources, they guide participants in documenting family lineages, verifying Freedmen ancestry, and preserving family histories for future generations. Their work supports the Center's mission to restore identity, strengthen intergenerational connections, and help descendants transform historical records into lasting family legacies.

Through guided genealogy research, historical records, storytelling, and community engagement, participants move beyond simply discovering ancestors to understanding how their family's journey has shaped the present.
