Durham, North Carolina — March 8, 2026
Concerned Black American Citizens, Inc. announces the launch of the Center for Black American Heritage & Records, a first-of-its-kind institution since Reconstruction dedicated to restoring lineage, protecting family assets, and
strengthening generational wealth. A Grand Opening Celebration is planned for Summer 2026. The Center is located in the historic Hayti-Fayetteville corridor at Phoenix Square,
902 Old Fayetteville Street, Durham, North Carolina.
The Center will bring together three integrated labs that create a heritage-to-prosperity pipeline: the Genealogy Lab, helping families recover and verify ancestral records; the Legal Aid Lab, supporting property rights and heirs’ property issues; and the Financial Literacy Lab, equipping households with tools to protect and grow their assets.
Together, these labs will strengthen families by restoring history, protecting rights, and growing and preserving wealth for generations to come. You can help bring this vision to life. Support the launch of the Center by making a donation at our Givebutter page: here
